To end Red Ribbon Week, our campus encouraged students to dress up as their favorite story book or fairy tale character. If you haven't read Shel Silverstein's precious little book The Giving Tree, make it a priority to buy for your classroom library. It's a beautiful book that follows a boy and his tree through life. The kids love predicting what will happen each stage in the boy's life as he comes back to visit the tree. There are many opportunities for "WH" questions throughout the book. I highly recommend it!
